ABOUT THE PROJECT
Project Overview
Holland Partner Group set out to build a residential landmark in one of the West Coast's most sophisticated urban markets. Sloane rises 45 stories above South Lake Union and offers 442 residential homes alongside 2,000 square feet of premier retail.
West-facing views of the Space Needle, a mixed-use ground floor, and a building form that commands attention from every angle called for a brand with genuine cultural weight. Sloane was built to be more than a luxury address. It was built to be a name people recognize before they ever step inside.
AFMKTG's Approach
AFMKTG was brought on to build Sloane's brand from the ground up, from the name through full identity and copywriting. The engagement required translating the tower's architectural ambition and target market into a brand language that would resonate with discerning residents who expect both beauty and meaning from the places they choose to live.
Brand Naming & Positioning
The name Sloane was developed after weeks of creative visioning and rigorous research. The inspiration came from Sloane Square in Chelsea, London, where a generation of stylish, cultured young residents, including a young Lady Diana Spencer, earned the neighborhood its enduring nickname: the Sloanies.
The name carries heritage and social currency without announcing itself, exactly the kind of confidence the building demands. The natural alliteration of Sloane Seattle gave the brand immediate presence and the weight to become iconic.
Positioning centered on understated luxury, cultural specificity, and a narrative identity strong enough to stand on its own.
Brand Identity & Copywriting
AFMKTG developed a full brand identity and copywriting framework for Sloane, building a visual and verbal language calibrated for a sophisticated audience familiar with international luxury markets. Every touchpoint, from residence descriptions to amenity copy, was crafted to reflect the building's cultural pedigree and its position at the intersection of Seattle's tech-forward future and a deeply storied past.
